Our Research

The Irish Centre for Autism &  Neurodevelopmental Research (ICAN) conducts extensive research on autism, neurodevelopmental conditions, and related comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. We explore gastrointestinal symptoms, sleep problems, and the influence of environmental risk factors on these conditions. ICAN also investigates the use of assistive technology to support individuals with autism and studies the challenges faced by adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and/or intellectual disabilities, particularly in employment and life transitions.
